The 7th AUAP Student English Speech Competition, June 3-4, 2025, Siam University, Bangkok, Thailand
The secretariat is pleased to announcement that the Association of Universities of Asia and the Pacific ( AUAP ) , in cooperation with the Master's Institute Development Academic and Seminary(MIDAS) , and Siam University , Bangkok, Thailand will organize the 7th AUAP Students English Speech Competition (SESC) on June 3-4, 2025, in Siam University, Bangkok, Thailand. The AUAP Secretariat is organizing this activity in order to give an opportunity to our students (university and high school) to showcase their talents in preparing and delivering a prepared speech on a given topic. Furthermore, SESC develops well-rounded individuals who are confident, articulate, and capable of critical thinking. It provides a platform for students to hone their public speaking skills, engage with diverse ideas, and prepare for future challenges in both academic and professional arenas.
This year, there are three (3) levels:
1. Primary Level
2. Secondary Level
3. University Level
The competition aims for contestants including the following.
1. Confidence Building for Effective Public Speaking and Communication Skills
2. Foster Critical Thinking
3. Boost Self-Esteem and Confidence
4. Develop Research and Organizational Skills
5. Improve Listening and Comprehension
6. Encourage Creativity and Originality
7. Cultivate Ethical and Respectful Discourse
8. Prepare for Future Academic and Professional Success
9. Promote Cultural and Social Awareness
10. Skill Development and Knowledge Enhancement
11. Improvement in Critical Thinking and Listening Skills
12. Broadens One’s Viewpoints and Knowledge
13. Improved Retention of Knowledge
14. Enhances Self-Expression, Self-Esteem, Logical and Clear Thinking
15. Acquires Critical Life Skills and more,
On behalf of the AUAP Secretariat, we are pleased to invite you to nominate contestants from multiple teams to participate in the 7th AUAP Students English Speech Competition (SESC). Each team should include three (3) contestants and one (1) coach. The event is open to a total of thirty-two (32) teams, and participation will be based on a first-come, first-served basis.
