AUAP AI 2026 Opens with a Vision for Sustainable Digital Transformation in Higher Education

The AUAP Digital and AI Transformation Program for a Sustainable Future 2026 (AUAP AI 2026), hosted by Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), officially commenced with the participation of university leaders, academics, researchers, industry experts, and students from across the Asia-Pacific region.

In her welcoming remarks, Dr. Supaporn Chuangchid, Executive Secretary of the Association of Universities of Asia and the Pacific (AUAP), highlighted the transformative role of higher education in preparing educators, students, and institutions to embrace the opportunities and challenges of Artificial Intelligence. She emphasized the importance of fostering responsible innovation, digital transformation, and sustainable development to create a positive global impact.

Held under the theme,  “Sustainable Empowerment in the Age of AI and New Technology through Higher Education for Global Futures,”  AUAP AI 2026 serves as an international platform for knowledge exchange, collaboration, and strategic dialogue. The program aims to strengthen partnerships among higher education institutions while promoting future-ready leadership, technological innovation, and inclusive, sustainable development across the region.
